was working at the Barfly, just to say hi and have a couple of beers.
A few bands on show that night, with Modern Life is War headlining. I hadn't heard of them before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from them.
I placed myself at the front, and waited for them to come on. The lead singer got on stage, and let out this almighty roar, with 30 or 40 people suddenly lounging forward to the stage. I was crushed under several layers of people, with just one arm sticking out with the camera at the end of it.
It took me a good few minutes to wriggle myself out of the bundle, and place myself safely behind the band on stage. I've never been so scared for my life in a music venue, quite like that before.
